Waterford Pumpkin Festival

Shortly after our meeting has concluded and all business has been taken care of, anyone wishing to join me in a ride to Waterford´s Pumpkin Festival.
My first ever group ride with the Chapter was to this event 5 years ago. It was a cold damp day, but the ride was great.
The Antique Tractors and the Show and Shine are scheduled for today.
Number of participants, weather and timing will influence how long we are away.

Christmas Pot Luck

Just a reminder, I have booked the Moose Hall for Saturday Dec. 3rd, for our Christmas Dinner.
Remember, December´s breakfast is cancelled in lieu of the Pot Luck get together.
As in the past, it will be a Pot Luck Supper. The Chapter will provide the Turkey and fixings. Anyone willing to assist in the preparation of this would be greatly appreciated. Peggy has offered to cook the turkey for us.
Last month a Chinese Auction was mentioned. We won´t be holding the auction at the party this year. We will hold this over for a future fund raiser.

Toronto Motorcycle Show

December 9th to 11th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
This is traditionally a manufacturers showcase of current and soon to be available models. There are some accessory and clothing vendors, but the focus is usually new bikes.

International Motorcycle Supershow

Jan. 6th to 8th 2012 at the International Centre on Airport Rd.
This is reported to be the biggest motorcycle show in North America. In my opinion if you´re going to attend a motorcycle show, this is the one.

Motorcycling Info

A number of changes and final definitions have been published by the Ministry of Transportation. Some of these changes may be of interest to our group.

Chapter Business

Moose Lodge approached us about a menu change. Recent meeting attendance has been low. As a result, the lodge has asked us to consider dropping the buffet in exchange for individual orders. Breakfast would include 2 eggs cooked to order, choice of meat, hash browns and toast.
The cost would be around $5.
After this mornings great attendance numbers, this idea has been dropped.

Ride Committee

I will try to schedule a dinner meeting to begin the planning process. When would be the best night to meet, considering others commitments may impact our ability to get together?

Phone tree Volunteers

Here is one more call for volunteers to assist with a Phone Tree. Anyone willing to assist with this item please let me know. I will be putting together a phone list, which I will maintain. Anyone that doesn´t want to be called, will be removed form the call list

Non Riding Months Activities

• The Moose Lodge puts on a supper every Friday night.
  I have the Moose´s October calendar and will ask for following months as they become available.
  Would anyone be interested in picking a Friday, once a month to attend these dinners?
• I will also get together with Troy to schedule a bowling night once a month.
